"Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work, but it’s worth the effort"
Frequently Asked Questions
What are your rates?
A 50 minute session is $125. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available for those experiencing financial hardship. I accept payment through a HIPAA compliant therapist platform that accepts credit, debit, or HSA/FSA cards. Payment in full is due at the time of service.
Is online counseling for me?
Some people seek online counseling if their location or schedule makes it difficult to find time to make it to an office for in-person sessions. Some people find it easier to open up in an online format or from the comfort of their own home. Whichever format you choose, the most important component is finding a therapist you trust.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. Most insurance companies will reimburse you a percentage of the session costs. In order to determine what this amount will be, contact your insurance provider to ask:
Do I need insurance pre-approval to see a therapist?
Have I met my deductible? If not, how much more do I need to pay out of pocket until it is met?
What is my co-pay or co-insurance for therapy?
Am I eligible for reimbursement if I see an out-of-network provider? If so, what is the reimbursement process.
Do you cover telehealth (online video sessions)?
How does online counseling work?
Online therapy or online counseling works similar to in-person counseling in that we have a scheduled time to meet, but instead of commuting to an office, you find a private space and access my online waiting room through a link. I will meet you there and initiate our session. It is conducted through a HIPAA-compliant video platform similar to Skype or FaceTime, but with added security to maintain the confidentiality of therapy sessions. You will need:
An internet connectable device (computer, tablet, smart phone)
An internet connection
A private place where you feel comfortable to conduct our sessions
